Audtions

Well, the first round of audtions went very well. We had a good selection of girls join us and record their audition piece.

A sample of some of the auditions is up online now. You can check it out on our YourTube page at www.youtube.com/HABRadio

There are still a afew places left, so if you're interested in joining the team then let us know. We get together each week in T6B for our pre-show meeting, then head down to the studio to record the show.

Have a listen to hear some of the future voices of the show and keep an eye out for the first full episode of HAB Radio!!!

HAB Radio Auditions.

Audtions are Wednesday 14th - not the 15th as the advert says. D'oh!

Today today today!

just in case anyone out there has realised the mistake - the auditions are TODAY WEDNESDAY 14TH OCTOBER.

Some of the promotion is saying it's the 15th - ignore that! It's today - the 14th - 3pm in room T6B

Hope to see you there.

If you're interested, here's the text from the sample script you'll have to read for the audition. Get practising!

ANNCR: Hello and welcome to the first episode of Harris Academy Bermondsey Radio. We’ve got a massive programme for you today.

My name is >>>>>>>> and I’ll be with you for the next half an hour.

Coming up in the show:

We’ll be looking at exams and revision. What are the best ways to revise? We’ll hear loads of top tips and advice from students and teachers.

School dinners – are they better or worse this year? We take a look at what’s on offer across the UK in our quest to find out if Jamie Oliver has made any difference to our diets or do students still think junk food is better?

Vivo Miles – is it a better reward system and what are the first impressions? We’ll hear the views of a bunch of Harris students.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy the first episode of HAB Radio

First Days

We're not quiet there as yet, but we're getting close. Our auditions for presenters are being held this Wednesday at 3pm.

The first announcements were made about the auditions today. I think we expected maybe a small handful of applications, but we received loads! So far about 40 people have expressed an interest and that's just from the Rose Family!

No doubt we'll find some amazing talent. If you want to keep up with all the action and news of HAB Radio, check us out at www.youtube.com/HABRadio or you can follow us on Twitter at twitter.com/HAB_Radio.

Hopefully, we should have the pilot episode up and ready to go next week - fingers crossed!!!
